This shot shows some of the console base that I made. Because the console is moved two inches to the rear, the original pieces didn't fit the floor contour. Wood veneer is added to the console to match the dash. I made a cover plate to fit the console where the shift pattern is and applied the six speed pattern in chrome vinyl. I recently picked up an ivory shifter ball with the six speed pattern embossed on it. The shift lever is a custom made stainless steel piece.You can also see the plate I made to cover the cast shift pattern on the top of the console.
