BOB LUNDWALL'S 1964 GRAND PRIX - 100 0327

Bob Lundwall was building this 6 speed Grand Prix when the term "Pro Touring" was just a glimmer in Jeff Smith's eye! I'm going to hound Bob for as many photos of this build-up as possible. For those of you that recognize the name, Bob is the founder of RetroMotive--the company that brought us 15" rims for our 8 lug drums!

The pictures of the underside show the loooonnngg primary header tubes. I think I told you that I had heard that long primaries tend to enhance low to mid range power. I may have over done it a bit. There is an oxygen sensor on the outside of the left header. That is there for two reasons. First, I bought an air/fuel ratio monitor to help tune the carbs. Second, I'm hoping in the future to build an electronic fuel injection intake. The headers connect to a 3 inch exhaust system with Flowmaster 50 series Delta Flow mufflers. The 'H' pipe is 2 1/2 inch. Everything is metalic ceramic coated.
